CANCELLED DUE TO FORECAST STRONG WINDS
Owing to the inaccessibility of the quay at Wroxham due to ongoing repair works, this year's paddle will depart from Horning using the public car park there.

What3 Words for the car park = scrum.gurgling.neckline
The plan is to meet either at the car park by 10am or at the Club at 9am (and away by 9.20am) if you need to borrow boats or kit from the club. The intention is to be on the water by 10.30am.
Depending on weather conditions on the day and the make up of the group, we will either head down-stream towards Ranworth or upstream towards Wroxham, resulting in a paddle of somewhere around 7 miles return.
When you sign up, you will initially be shown as short-listed to ensure we have sufficient Leader cover and transport for the day.
Please answer the following questions when you sign up:
Will you meet at Horning or at the Club?
Do you need to borrow and boats or kit from the club? If so, what?
Do you need assistance in transporting boats to Horning?
Are you able to help transport boats to Horning?
Would you like to tandem in a canoe with another club member if this is perhaps your first trip - or you just prefer tandeming anyway!
Other things to consider are:
Horning is a pay and display car park and has proven very temperamental in the past to card/app payments. It is best to bring change - £1/hour I think.
If you haven't done any winter paddling before, think about how you will stay warm and dry - especially your hands! Everyone should have a spare change of clothes with them, on the water, in a dry bag.
Don't forget to bring lunch and a warm drink.
Consider bringing additional layers to put on at lunch time so that you don't get cold when you stop.
High tide at Horning is 7:28am and Low water is 1:47pm.
