What: An evening trip for self contained paddlers with access to and the means of getting their craft to the starting and returning point of Rockland Staithe, Rockland St. Mary. The get in is by the slip way opposite The New Inn Public House. A public car park is just a short distance before the put in if driving from the Norwich direction. From the put in we paddle onto Rockland broad and up towards Coldham Hall (River Yare) . If you can paddle confidently and comfortably up to Hellesdon Mill from the club and back on a club night then you should be Ok for this evenings paddle. The exact distance paddled will be determined by paddlers experience and wishes.
The plan will be to be of the water by 2030 hrs.
When : WEDNESDAY 19th June 2024. Meet at the get in point ( TG327046 ) at 1830 hrs. NOT AT EAGLE CANOE CLUB. Please use the public car park nearby. Its a short distance to carry craft to the put in.
What's involved? Meet at the get in point at Rockland Staithe. . Unload, park up and get afloat. We will return to the get in point . There may be a small charge to launch from thsi point, so bring some cash just in case.
Do remember to bring a selection of clothing, even if its hot weather including a waterproof, so you can cope with whatever the weather does.
